Thomas Blissett of Liverpool, England single action Tranter patent, .32 caliber rimfire single action pocket size revolver in fine condition contained in its original to the period case with makers label in the lid, serial number 8724. Thepistol measures approximately 9” overall with 3 ½” barrel and shows 75% to 85% bright original finish with some minor flaking and in the areas where the blue has lifted the metal is going to a natural patina with some minor erosion andpinprick pitting just starting. The cylinder shows 60% to 80% original case hardening with some very colorful areas starting to silver out. The checkered wood stocks are fine to near excellent and the action is not quite working. The interioris fine to near excellent with a bright bore. The interior of the case shows blue velveteen and is in excellent condition showing just slight staining, minor impressions and minimal normal aging. Three original compartment covers areretained. The exterior of the lid is veneered with a fancy hardwood. The condition of the exterior is very good plus with some minor scratches and just normal aging. A very crisp and pretty little set that we would date 1850s to late 1860s. Est.:
