The lock is marked with a crown behind the hammer and "T BLISSETT / LIVERPOOL" ahead of the hammer. Writer believes this to be a pattern 1856 Cavalry Service pistol. The left rear of the barrel is marked with the number "25" followed by and English military proofmark that is deeply struck. Blade front sight and the groove of the barrel tang screw serves as the rear sight. Iron ramrod mounted on a swivel and mounted with a smooth one piece full stock with brass forend plate/ramrod pipe, brass trigger guard and buttplate with lanyard ring.

Condition: Very good. The barrel has a smooth mottled brown patina, while the lock and hammer have a smooth dark patina. The brass components have an aged patina. The stock is also very good with overall scattered minor dings, dents and scratches. The markings are clear. The action is very good.
