The best-known Colt Single Action Army revolver with long fluted cylinder remaining in excellent to near mint condition and contained within its original cardboard box. This Colt single action is .45 caliber, 4 ¾” barrel, blue and case hardened finish, shipped to Krakauer, Zork & Moye Company, El Paso, Texas on November 4, 1913 with 5 guns in shipment, serial number 330374. Under remarks; records indicate that this firearm was shipped with a double action cylinder long flute, the factory letter is addressed to Mr. Mint himself Fred Sweeney who originally owned this pistol in his collection for a period of more than 20 years. The single action shows no evidence of firing or use and retains 99% to nearly 100% bright original blue and case hardening with only slight handling and almost no evidence of age. The original cardboard box is serial numbered to match in good condition with some normal tatters, aging and minor taping at the ends. The end label is correct. A 10 on a 1 to 10 scale for a long flute and there is not a better specimen known to advanced single action collectors. Receipt from Fred Sweeny when originally sold by him for $40,000 a few years ago to a prominent Texas collector. Est.: $30,000-$60,000.
