Provided for bidding in this lot is a Mid-20th Century Texas State Prison made Rawhide Bosal. The Rawhide Noseband is capped with a heavy duty heel knot, the Headstall is attached to the noseband via tightly wound rawhide rope. The piece displays red, tan, and white rawhide. The consignor commissioned the piece in the 1950's and purchased it from the inmates second wife directly. Overall, the bosal is in good condition, the rawhide rope remains tightly wound, however there is a torn leather strap on the headband. The noseband itself measures 14 1/8" long, and 7 1/4" wide.
