ABOUT :
Traveller was a gray American Saddlebred horse, and the most famous mount of Confederate General Robert E. Lee during the American Civil War. Known for his speed, strength, and courage, Lee purchased the horse in February 1862 for $200. Traveller was known to be high-strung but reliable, and he outlived Lee by a few months, passing away in 1871.
