Full payment must be made no later than Tuesday at 3:00 PM (PST) following the auction. Failure to pay by this deadline will result in forfeiture of the deposit.

Vehicle preview is available one day before the auction.
BIDDER NUMBER AND GUEST PASS:
Otay Auto Auction will issue a Bidder Number and Guest Pass at the time of registration. If either is lost or stolen, you may request a replacement after paying the replacement fee. Both the Bidder Number and Guest Pass must be displayed at all times during the auction.
CHECKOUT:
Checkout can be completed once the vehicle is sold. All purchases must be paid in full and vehicles must be removed by Tuesday at 3:00 PM. Failure to do so will result in forfeiture of the deposit.
BUYER FEE:
$0–$499 = $115
$500–$999 = $150
$1000–$1499 = $185
$1500–$1999 = $215
$2000–$2499 = $265
$2500–$2999 = $300
$3000–$3499 = $335
$3500–$4999 = $375
$5000–$7999 = $445

GENERAL RULES:
The Auctioneer reserves the right to reject any or all bids. In case of a dispute between bidders, the Auctioneer will have the sole and final authority to determine the successful bidder or to re-offer and resell the vehicle in dispute.
Each bidder must have their own bidder number.
Vehicles may be auctioned out of numerical order.
No one under 18 years of age is allowed on auction premises.
Any work on vehicles on or around the property is prohibited.
Cameras of any kind are not allowed.
Backpacks, purses, briefcases, or similar items are not permitted in the sale area.
Any damage to vehicles or property will be charged to the buyer.
Anyone caught stealing, removing parts, taking keys, or damaging vehicles will be arrested, prosecuted, and permanently banned from the auction.
Failure to pick up purchased vehicles will result in deposit forfeiture. To participate again, an additional $500 deposit and an extra 20% or $200–$500 per vehicle will be required until all previous purchases are paid in full.
Vehicles cannot be removed until the auction is complete and full payment has been made. Only the winning bidder may remove the vehicle.
CONDITION OF SALE:
All vehicles are sold “AS IS, WHERE IS” with no warranty. No guarantees are made regarding the accuracy of any information provided, whether written or visual. This includes, but is not limited to, year, make, model, VIN, mileage, condition, estimated repair cost, damage type, and document status.
According to state law, vehicles sold with a regular title may have a salvage history. Buyers are responsible for previewing each vehicle and determining its condition and originality. Otay Auto Auction does not guarantee that vehicles meet emission or safety requirements. Some vehicles may contain deployed airbags that have not been replaced.
RELEASE OF LIABILITY:
Buyers and guests irrevocably waive and release any claims against Otay Auto Auction, its representatives, employees, agents, affiliates, subsidiaries, officers, and directors for any and all damages, losses, or injuries arising from bodily injury, property damage, or other occurrences on the premises.
Otay Auto Auction is not liable for any special, incidental, or consequential damages or lost profits related to the sale, use, or inability to use any vehicle.
Buyers and guests agree to indemnify and hold Otay Auto Auction harmless from any claims resulting from bodily injury or property damage occurring on auction property.
