T.J. Stafford .22 caliber single shot derringer, New York engraved in Nimschke style, silver and gold plated, pearl grips, serial #402. The butt of the pistol shows a small “KM#8” in lacquer paint (easilyremoved) which identifies it to the collection of Karl Moldenauer, famous early collector who specialized in Remingtons. The barrel shows 90-95% original silver. The frame shows 65-75% original gold which isdrifting to natural patina. The pearl grips are very good plus and fit impeccably with a few small chips at the edge. The small parts and springs show most of their original finish, the pistol is near fine overall.
