Swept hilt rapier with nicely marked blade possibly Munich town guard, circa 17th century, showing 37” blade and 43 ¾” overall. The blade shows some light to heavy scattered pitting and cleaning long ago. Thehilt is a nice dark un-cleaned patina with good quality construction and hand forging. The blade is well tempered. The wire wrap on the grip is expertly replaced and in correct style. Est.: $3,000 -$6,000.
