Swedish M1938 Type 11 Carbine Mauser Military Bolt Action Rifle 6.5 x 55
This Carbine was manufactured by Husqvarna Vapenfabriks Sweden.
The condition of this unit is very good - Made in 1942 with all numbers matching.
A truly great collectible.
There are some minor scratches on the wood but all looks solid. Metal finish is
very good throughout. The unit operates as it should.
Swedish Mausers are a family of bolt-action rifles based on an improved variant of
Mauser's earlier Model 1893, but using the 6.5×55mm Swedish cartridge, and
incorporating unique design elements as requested by Sweden.
These are the m/94 (Model 1894) carbine, m/96 (Model 1896) long rifle, m/38
(Model 1938) short rifle and m/41 (Model 1941) sniper rifle.
The original m/1938 rifles (Type I) were converted m/1896 rifles with barrels cut down
by 139 mm (5.5 in) and almost always with the original straight bolt handles.
These rifles are often referred to by collectors as m/96-38 rifles, but there was never
an official designation for this conversion.
The majority of purpose-built m/1938s (Type II) had turned-down bolt handles and
were manufactured by Husqvarna Vapenfabriks AB, with production ending in 1944.
However, the Swedish military made no distinction in service between the two types

When shipping is required for any purchase an additional charge will occur the day the item has been shipped. We ship mainly at cost via Canada Post. We aim to have ALL items out the door within 15 business days after auction close.
Please note that due to restrictions we will ship all Ammunition by courier Canada wide - No ammo can be shipped outside of Canada.. WE SHIP AMMO ONLY VIA UPS OR PUROLATOR.... We cannot ship ammunition to a PO BOX - Please note that if we cannot ship to your address the item is forfeited and NO REFUND will be given..
We are NOT responsible for damage during shipping. We don't guarantee delivery times and will not refund shipping charges for parcels that are not delivered by a specific date.
Items over $200 will be insured and a signature 18+ is required (unless under $200 or going by letter mail).

TERMS OF PAYMENT: At the conclusion of the Auction all items purchased will be charged to the Credit Card that was provided at registration to guarantee payment. If shipping is required for any purchase an additional charge will occur the day the item has been shipped. A $40.00 late payer fee may be added to any invoice that can't be processed at the conclusion of the sale. Please ensure that you have provided us with the correct number and expiry date. Recurring problem payers will be banned from future sales. Bidders are responsible for full payment of all their purchases at the drop of the hammer. Our Consignors are paid based on the hammer price. We will attempt to charge your credit card partial amounts until the amount is paid in full. Any purchase which has not been fully paid will be resold at the next available opportunity. Our normal commission charge (14%) will apply on re-sale. Any balance remaining unpaid after the resale will be referred to our collection agency, and or small claims court.

KOS Auctions will not return or refund money if an item is not exactly in the same condition as listed in the online listing. All ratings in the online listing are subjective and are of visual opinion, no mechanical inspection is undertaken by KOS unless stated. Any items that are purchased that we are not able to deliver will be sold at the next opportunity, regular commission charges apply to that secondary sale.

The absence of a condition statement does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition or completely free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of aging. If we sell firearms that have been previously de-activated by others, these may not meet current or exportable standards. Firearms de-activated by others may or may not have a “de-activation letter” available. We are not able to search for letters for firearms de-activated by others.
