One of the mysteries of the Luger collecting field, the meaning of the "Ku" stamp is the subject of speculation, with no hard answers to be found. One of the popular theories is that the pistols were finished in 1944 in order to fulfill a Luftwaffe contract, using components left over from when Mauser shifted production resources away from the Luger in order to focus on the P-38. Fixed sights, with the "41" date on top of the chamber and a Mauser banner on top of the front toggle. The right side of the barrel extension has a droop-wing eagle proof, while the left has the "Ku" stamp ahead of the serial number. This example has standard markings and military serial number placement, to include the full serial number stamped in large numbers on the back side of each grip panel. With a blue finished magazine marked "fxo" and "P.08", with an unmarked plastic base.
