Stunning and elaborate gaucho knife with raised gold on silver decorations with small jewels in its original fitted case showing "F.J. Freccero" makers label with address "Motevideo". Freccero is sometimes calledthe "Tiffany" of South America. The top of the scabbard shows stamped hallmark or makers marks and a small signature, the gold decoration shows birds, florals and elaborate piercings. The knife measures 12-1/4"overall with a 7-1/2" blade. The blade is marked "mca MH rda". The case is fitted in the French style with velvet in the bottom and Moroccan leather covering with satin in top. The case is in good condition, one endhas been re-glued neatly. A stunning piece of male jewelry worthy of any blade collection. Est.;$4,000-$8,000.
