Beautifully engraved with floral scroll on the side plates, receiver, break lever, trigger guard, forearm hardware, front sight ramp, rear sides of the barrel and detachable peep sight. The initials "RWC" are on the trigger guard. The front stepped ramp sight has a quick change bead. There is a folding leaf rear sight with a gold highlight marked "100 YDS." on the quarter rib along with claw mounts and in the butt trap is a rear claw mountable peep sight. There are cocking indicators on each side plate, single non-selectable trigger, tang mounted safety with "S" highlighted in gold and ejectors. The highly figured Circassian walnut checkered pistol grip stock has a raised cheekpiece, sling stud and checkered steel buttplate with trapdoor. The three-piece checkered walnut forearm has an ebony tip. Length of pull is 14 1/8 inches. With compartmentalized leather bound oak hardcase with cloth slip cover that houses the rifle, a Zeiss Jena Zielklein scope with claw mounts, a Stith Rifle Scope/Kollmorgen 4x scope with claw mounts, two leather wallets holding cleaning supplies and extra parts, cleaning rod and a glass bottle. Consignor notes indicate this rifle was manufactured in May 1935 for R. A. Chamberlin.

Condition: Excellent, 99% blue finish with a few light scattered marks, high edge wear and the front sight ivory insert is absent from the dovetail. 90% case colors with wear on the bottom of the receiver, high edges and top tang. Wood is also excellent with a few light marks overall. Mechanically excellent. Stith/Kollmorgen scope is excellent with clear optics. Zeiss scope is very good with clear optics. Case is very good with some scuffing and a missing handle and strap. Slip cover is very good with some loose stitching.
