Study for mural (Presidio Jr. High, San Francisco) signed “M.D. 1937” for Maynard Dixon in lower right corner. Entitled on back “Capitan” measures 11”by 8” and is nicely framed and matted and remains in verygood condition with no problems. Subject portrays on officer and what appears to be colonial era uniform and hat. Maynard Dixon 1875-1946 is one of the most recognized of all western artists born in Fresno, CA. Hiscredentials and experience rivals any artist of his time and he is considered among the greatest. Est.;$3,000-$6,000.

Buyer pays actual costs of packing, materials, shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries.
