Studio made Bowie knife circa 1950s to 60s with thin steel blade and brass strip on back of blade, curved wood grips secured by copper rivets. The knife measures 15 ½” overall with a 10 ½” blade. This Bowie knife was used by James Arness movie and TV productions and possibly was carried by him in “How the West Was Won”. Hand signed receipt from his wife Janet Arness documenting these facts. James Arness was the star of the iconic Western TV series “Gunsmoke” Est.: $1,000-$3,000.
