Manufactured circa 1896 to 1916. The barrel was manufactured without a front sight or rear sight seat and is equipped with a Stevens No. 475 tubular scope with adjustable mounts. The top barrel flat is marked with the two line address (partially covered by the rear scope block), and the left rear flat is marked "28.30". The matching serial number is marked on the underside of the barrel ahead of the forearm, "1" is marked under the forearm, and the face of the action is marked "47", EX" and "0/0". Double set triggers, blue barrel, with casehardened remaining parts and mounted with a smooth forearm and pistol grip stock with Swiss style buttplate.

Condition: Excellent. The barrel retains 90% plus original blue finish with some muzzle wear, some thinning to smooth plum and a few minor scratches, mostly near the muzzle. The receiver also retains 90% original bright case colors. The lever retains 85% original case colors with some areas of smooth brown patina. The wood is very fine with most of the original varnish and some overall scattered minor dings, dents and scratches. The markings remain sharp. The action is excellent. The scope is fine with 60% original thinning blue finish remaining with areas of smooth brown. The optics are a bit hazy.
