Included for your consideration in this lot is a J. Stevens Favorite Model 1915 single shot rifle, chambered in .22 Long Rifle. The rifle shows a full octagon 24" blue'd barrel, a case hardened receiver, a walnut stock & fore-grip, adjustable rear & brass blade front sight, and a falling-block action - activated by the trigger guard. The numerous roll-stampings read; "Model 1915" on the tang, "Made in U.S.A. - J. Stevens Arms Company Chicopee Falls, MASS. U.S.A. - .22 LONG RIFLE" on the top of the barrel, in front of the rear sight, "Trade Mark - FAVORITE - REG. U.S. PAT. OFF. & FGN." on the top of the receiver, and "Y395" on the underside of the tang, underneath the trigger guard. Additionally, the rifle utilizes a hard rubber butt-plate, which reads "STEVENS" inside a decorative scroll. The J. Stevens Arms Co. was the creator of the .22 LR cartridge, which is still today the most popular round in the world - This rifle would make a fantastic addition to any Stevens collection! Overall, the rifle is in good condition, showing 85-90% blue finish, fair case-hardening, very-strong rifling, and a smooth action - The rifle does show decent wear to the walnut butt-stock, and finish wear to the trigger guard, and hard edges. This rifle requires a Curio & Relic FFL transfer, or NICS background check. Serial Number: Y395.
