Offered for your consideration in this lot is a J. Stevens Crack Shot Model 26, single shot, falling block rifle, chambered for .22 Long Rifle. The firearm utilizes a falling block action, 20" full round barrel, a brass blade front sight paired with a fixed rear sight, hardwood fixtures, and a nice blue'd finish which has patina'd into a beautiful plum purple tone. The Model 26 Crack Shot was manufactured between 1913 and 1941, qualifying this rifle as a Curio and Relic Long Gun. The rifle is marked on top of the barrel "J. STEVENS ARMS COMPANY. PAT. APR. 22. 1913 - CHICOPEE FALLS MASS. U.S.A. 22-LONG RIFLE". The rifle is additionally marked on the receiver "CRACK SHOT - 26". Overall, the rifle shows good condition, with good function of the action - albeit with some looseness, and a strong bore with subtle darkness.
