Thomas (Tommy) Singer (born 1940 - May 31, 2014)
He is one of the most regarded silversmiths in Navajo history having created the ‘CHIP INLAY’ an intricate use of turquoise and coral chips integrated in to the silver work. This method made Mr. Singer famous world around in the 60’s. He is known for his overlay work, storyteller pieces, rug patterns and traditional motifs.
Size 7.25 Aqua blue cabochon cut spinel is set with two small turquoise stones one on each side in a simple 4 prong sterling setting. The spinel is approximately 8.5 carats and measures approximately 14 mm x 10 mm x 5.9 mm each of the turquoise stones measure 2.4 mm diameter. Overall ring measures 14 mm tall x 16 mm wide. The ring is not stamped sterling or hallmarked NOTE: piece has been tested and is silver.
