Starr .44 caliber percussion double-action U.S. military issue Civil War era revolver, serial #4858. The pistol shows 50-70% original blue, evenly drifting and toning to a brownish patina, with areas where thefinish has lifted show some light pitting and erosion. The edges are sharp, the markings are crisp, the left grip shows most of its cartouche, there are just some minor nicks and wear at the bottom of the grips. Thehammer shows most of its case hardening just dulling as does the rammer. The action is good, the interior very good and bore bright. Est: $1,400 - $2,800
