Springfield Trapdoor rifle, Model 1884, .45-70 cal., in good to very good condition, serial #470380. The barrel has been cleaned to bright, the breech block shows 75% case hardening, the lock and breech show most oftheir original blue, the bands show 95% blue; the stock shows sharp 1889 cartouche and P behind the trigger guard. The Buffington rear sight shows most of its original blue as does the springs. Original rod is retained,the action is good, the bore is bright; an unfortunate occurrence in the fact that someone cleaned the barrel and stock. Est.: $600-$1,200

We are open Tuesday thru Friday 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and Saturday 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Little John's will be closed the Friday after the auction. Preview on October 27th 7 28th 9:00 to 11:00 am each day.

Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries. International buyers agree to pay all cost incurred including all shipping, insurance, exporter fees, all custom and duty fees associated with shipment. Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Regulations apply and MUST be strictly followed.
