Springfield Trapdoor Allin conversion 50/70 cal., #NSNV, barrel shortened to 31 3/4", in very good condition overall. Metal is very good, wood is good to very good, showing several old cracks, one in front of the lock plate, and one at the wrist, and shows the initials "DM" inlet into the right side of the stock in letters approximately 1 1/2" tall by 1/4" wide, which were later filled in. Action is good, bore is very good. An example of the first cartridge gun used by buffalo hunters during the Indian wars. Est. $250-500. (Antique)
