Springfield Musket, approximately .50 caliber, Serial #NSNV. The rifle is overall fair to good condition with a 38” barrel, replacement rear sight and socket bayonet. The barrel and several other metal parts have been polished to a brightfinish. The lock is marked “Providence Tool Co. Providence, R.I.” and dated 1862. The smooth wood stock has been sanded and is in fair condition overall with small mars and compressions. The butt stock ends with a crescent, brass butt plate. (Antique) Est.: $1,000-$2,000.
