Springfield 1847 dated .69 caliber original percussion musket with bayonet remaining in as issued very good original condition. The metal surfaces show a light gray to brown patina finish with some minor scatterederosion and pitting. The stocks are very good plus showing a full cartouche and just a few small losses along the ramrod channel. There are some dents and dings mostly in the belly of the stock and a few chips and smalllosses. The bands and small parts are all original. The lock is well marked with good clear Eagle and US. An original ramrod is retained. A strong 7 ½ to 8 on 1 to 10 scale. Desirable Mexican war date. Est.:$900-$1,800.
