Spencer sporting rifle with factory heavy octagon barrel, .46 rimfire caliber, blue and case hardened finish, select varnish burl walnut stocks, serial #38237. The rifle shows factory 26” octagon barrel of slightly heavy weight which measures approx. 15/16” across the barrel flats. The rifle shows a matching serial number on the barrel. The forend is secured by two screws and has a pewter forend cap. The barrel shows approx 75-85% original blue that is evenly toning and drifting to patina, some scattered light to moderate erosion and some minor pinprick pitting just starting along with normal aging. The rifle retains its original ladder type rear sight, which is factory mounted further down the barrel than normal at the original ordered request and shows a hooded type front sight. The action shows flattening to marry the octagon barrel by the factory and the frame, lock, and lever show 20-30% case hardening within a graying patina with some feint colors. The wood stocks are good to very good with 75-85% varnish, a few mars and scratches and a crack behind the frame at the top of the wrist where the wood has been secured with a rude wood screw and shows a small loss. Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries.
