Spencer repeating carbine, .50 cal., desirable 22” barrel, stabler cut-off, wood stocks, #15865 in overall good condition showing a dark patina to metal surfaces with scattered areas of erosion, crisp action, good bore, markings somewhat light; loading tube in stock is good, wood is overall good with wear, scattered old mars, scratches and staining from use and storage; good inspector’s cartouche on left side of butt stock; this classic Civil War era gun likely saw action and wasn’t one that sat in an armory or behind a General’s desk gathering dust.
