Spencer Model 1865 carbine manufactured by Burnside in .50 caliber (.56-50 Spencer) with 20” round barrel and Stabler cutoff in good to very good original condition, serial number 2286. The barrel and frame show traces of original blue and case hardening within a brown and silvery patina with some scattered light to moderate erosion and some pitting. The address on the frame is good and clear. The stock is good with typical and normal age showing some minor dings, mars, scratches and one large loss of wood just beneath the saddle ring above the trigger. There is a faintly visible cartouche. The action is good and the bore is fair with some normal aging and slight roughness. All original small parts and the magazine are retained. Est.: $1300-$2600
