Spencer Model 1865 Indian War period issued saddle ring carbine, serial number 20359. The carbine shows 85% to 95% original military blue finish with some minor areas of light erosion and pinprick pitting just starting. The frame and lock plate show 70% to 80% original case hardening drifting and aging naturally with some very bright colors on the hammer, lever and small parts. The stocks are very good plus with two sharp cartouches. Some minor dings, mars, nicks andnormal use. The butt plate shows 60% to 70% original case hardening and the bore is fine to near excellent. There is bright original blue on small parts and screws and a fine magazine tube is included. The fore end shows a couple of gougesfrom military type storage and use.
