Manufactured from 1865 to 1868. The top of the rib has the two line address/patent dates (1855 & 1859) marking, the serial number is marked on the butt and stamped on the inside of the right grip panel and "xx1" in marked on the left side of the heel under the grip, back of the barrel lug and on the front face of the cylinder. Blade front sight, blue finish, with casehardened ejector stud, hammer and trigger, and fitted a with smooth varnished rosewood grips. Complete in a wooden case with fitted blue velvet lining, cleaning rod and cartridge block with 24 32 short cartridges with "U" head stamp, (21), 1 "P" and 2 "D" head stamps.

Condition: Excellent. The revolver retains 95% plus original bright blue finish thinning at the muzzle and some scattered minor flaking. There is a series of scratches on the top of the barrel rib. The hammer retains 98% original bright case colors. The grips are excellent with 99% original varnish, some very minor lower edge wear and a few minor dents and dings. The markings are crisp and clear. The barrel hinge is tight and the action is excellent. The case is very good with scattered minor dings, dents and scratches. The lining is excellent showing only minor contact wear.
