Special order Winchester Model 1886 short rifle, .45-70 cal., 22" round barrel, full magazine, hard rubber shotgun butt plate, sling swivel eyelets of factory style, serial #136831. The right side of the butt stockis period stamped Bregent 1786 St Catherine (Street) Montreal. Bregent was probably a dealer who sold it. The barrel and magazine tube show 90-95%+ original blue, some slight drifting on the muzzle and by the barreladdress; also the barrel seems to be of lighter weight than standard. The frame shows 80-90% original blue thinning on the high points and belly. The hammer and loading lever show 75-85% case hardening.There is a large blemish on the right top of forend which is approximately 1-1/2" x 1/4" which is a slight scorch mark. The butt stock shows a large sliver missing from the toe, approximately 2-7/8" x 3/4" tapering toa point, and portion of the butt plate missing at that area. The stocks are a nice light color and show some minor scratches and other than the 2 mentioned defects would be at least very good and excellent wood to

Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries. International buyers agree to pay all cost incurred including all shipping, insurance, exporter fees, all custom and duty fees associated with shipment. Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Regulations apply and MUST be strictly followed.
