Spanish style flintlock pistol of small size with brass mounts circa about 1760 to 1790. The pistol measures 8” overall with 4” barrel of approximately .52 caliber. The pistol shows typical engraved brass mounts of the late 18th-century with iron trigger guard and original iron belt hook. The pistol retains an original brass tipped ramrod of the period and metal surfaces are good with a light gray patina and some minor pitting. The stocks have been cleaned slightly but not refinished. There are three small unidentifiable marks at the breech. The barrel is well-made with fine cut rings and cannon type muzzle. Generally good condition overall with a small crack in butt cap. Est.: $1,000-$2,000.
