Spanish miquelet percussion sporting shotgun by M. Aragon. Barrel very finely silver inlaid and marked in Spanish “Made of Horseshoes for Pedro Aranguren in Eibar 1857”. Showing portrait of cavalier withmusket and fancy silver floral inlays surrounding. The hammer is beautifully styled. The gun shows fine burl wood stock with a beautiful silver band and silver ramrod pipes. The gun measures 48-1/2” with33-3/4” barrel of approx. 12ga. The barrel shows 50% of its original brown and is crisp. The mounts show their original bright finish. The stocks are very good plus to near fine. Aragon was one of the few good lateSpanish makers after the kingdom of Spain had fallen. A very attractive sporting gun. Est: $1,500 - $3,000
