Spanish “JO. LO. AR” semi-auto pistol, 9mm cal., 6” barrel, blue finish, checkered hard rubber grips, #4405 in overall good to very good condition showing considerable muted original finish, good bore, action, markings and worn butcomplete grips. Accompanied by a 6 page history of this unique firearm, in brief it was patented by a Spanish gun dealer in 1919 with a side bar used to charge the 1st round into the chamber with the same hand that grips the gun (assuming one is right handed); the gun was produced in 5 different calibers (9mm was the most common) and although no known records exist (reportedly the factory was destroyed by fire during the Spanish Civil War), it is estimated approx. 30,000 wereproduced.
