Southerner derringer by Brown Manufacturing Company patented 1857 remaining in very good condition with considerable original blue, .41 caliber rim-fire, brass frame, standard wood grips, serial number 8710. The derringer shows 30% to 50% original blue on the barrel that is evenly drifting and toning. The frame shows a nice mustard color patina. The grips are good with normal age and slight edge wear. The markings are good and visible. There are some minor dings, mars and scratches but generally very good plus overall. An honest 7.5 to 8 on 1 to 10 scale. Est.: $650-$1,300.
