Smith and Wesson 1st Model Hand Ejector revolver, .44 S&W Special caliber, Serial #3466. The pistol is in fine overall condition with a 6 ½” barrel. The pistol retains approximately 85- 90% of its mutedblue finish with wear at the muzzle, light surface rust on the back strap and a drag line on the cylinder noted. The pistol features a five screw frame and vivid case coloring of the hammer and trigger. Thecheckered wood grips are in very good condition with small mars and some flattening of the checkering noted. The pistol has had three small notches added under the ejector rod during the period of use. The bore isvery good, the action crisp and markings are sharp. The pistol includes a Smith and Wesson factory letter confirming all features and indicating the pistol was shipped to Kimball Upson Co., Sacramento, CA on August13, 1912. Also known as the .44 New Century Triple Lock, 1st Model Hand Ejectors were introduced in 1908 and manufactured until 1915. From the estate of Larry Gaertner. Est.: $1,500-$3,000. (C+R)
