Manufactured from 1909 to 1923, this model (also known as Perfected Target Pistol) is able to fire in either single or double action. The rib is marked with the standard two line Springfield address/patent dates. The S&W trademark is on the right side of the frame. Has Olympic barrel which engages the bullet nose into the grooves and lands and consequently requires the cartridge to be pushed in the last 1/8 of an inch. Equipped with a pinned target front sight and adjustable rear sight. Blue with casehardened hammer and trigger. Checkered walnut grips with S&W monograms
