Smith & Wesson Number Two Army Single Action Revolver
Made from 1861 to 1874 the Number Two was a popular personal sidearm among Civil War soldiers. German silver blade front sight and notch rear, with "SMITH. & WESSON. SPRINGFIELD, MASS." on top of the barrel and the ejector secured to the lug, which is marked "H 10". Unfluted cylinder, with patent dates on the outer surface and "117" on the face. Frame is numbered "42349" on the butt and "117" on the left side under the grips, which are two piece smooth rosewood with matching serial number inside the right panel.

Condition: Fine, with 60% of the polished blue, with areas of brown and gray patina on the barrel, cylinder and grip straps, bright edge wear and scattered spotting and handling marks. Grips are very good, with dings and attractive varnish. Mechanically very good.
