The revolver has a tip-up break, custom order presentation silver & blue two tone finish, rosewood grips, and a seven-shot cylinder. The Smith & Wesson Model 1 was the first firearm manufactured by Smith & Wesson, with production spanning the years 1857 through 1882. It was the first commercially successful revolver to use rimfire cartridges instead of loose powder, musket ball, and percussion caps. Overall, the revolver shows fair condition, the finish has a nice naturally aged patina, though mechanically, the hammer does not lock in firing position. The revolver originates from 1860-1868 and qualifies as an Antique Handgun, and does not require FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check. Serial Number: 63001.
