Available for bidding in this lot is a Smith & Wesson Number 1 (No.1) Second Issue .22 Rim Fire revolver. The revolver was manufactured between 1860-68, and utilizes a blue'd 3 3/16" octagon barrel, chrome frame, and rosewood grips. The top of the barrel reads "Smith & Wesson Springfield. MASS", while the butt of the grips reads the serial number "64344". The revolver is single action operated with the spur trigger, and serrated hammer. Additionally, the pistol has a tip up barrel, and is loaded by sliding the cylinder out of the frame, dispensing the spent cartridges with the underlug extractor, and simply reloaded. Overall, the revolver show good condition. The frame and barrel show a professional refinish. Mechanically, the pistol is inoperable, and is missing the rear sight. The revolver qualifies as an antique hand gun, and does not require FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check. Serial Number: 64344.
