Smith & Wesson Model No. 3 Target Single Action top-break revolver, .38 cal., 6-1/2” barrel, nickel finish, checkered black hard rubber grips, #1830. This gun is in overall fine condition showing approx. 50% originalfinish with balance of metal surfaces displaying a similar tone patina, all matching visible serial numbers including cylinder, barrel and barrel catch, crisp action, sharp markings, good bore, very goodgrips; front sight top shows old loss. Accompanied by factory letter dated 1989 indicating this serial number gun was shipped from the factory on March 14, 1894 and delivered to Hibbard, Spencer, Bartlett &Co., Chicago, Illinois.
