Smith & Wesson Model No. 1 2nd issue revolver, .22 cal., serial #52782. The pistol is in very good condition with a 3 1/8” octagonal barrel. The pistol retains the majority of its blued finish with three patent dates noted on the cylinder:“APRIL 3, 1855, JULY 5, 1859 & DEC 18, 1860”. The pistol shows old, muted case colors on the frame. The smooth wood grips are in very good condition with small mars and a flea bite chip at the base of the left grip panel. The bore is good, theaction crisp and markings are sharp on this revolver. According to the consigner, the pistol came West with the mother of character actor Crahan Denton, as her personal possession. Est.: $575-$1,000. (Antique).
