Smith & Wesson Model 1902 M&P Hand Ejector DA revolver, .38 cal., 6” barrel, blue finish, checkered wood grips, factory marked on butt strap with U.S.N., naval anchor, 38 DA, No. 1904, J.A.B. and an “S” with an arrow thru it that is also by the serial number under the barrel and on the back of the cylinder; S&W serial number is 25918 and is on the front of the grip strap, cylinder back and under the barrel; “10” is also stamped on thebackstrap, possibly a rack number. Only 1,000 of this U.S. Naval variation were manufactured within the naval serial number range of 1001 to 2000 and in the S&W serial number range of 25001-26000; this was acontinuation of the Naval Model 1899 (see following lot 559). The gun is in overall very good to fine condition showing approx.75% original finish with scattered wear, scratches and mars from carry andstorage, good bore, crisp action, sharp markings, very good to fine grips; an exceedingly hard variation to find in any condition and this is a really scarce find!
