The lot features a Smith & Wesson Model Number 1 Third Issue variation chambered in .22 RF (rimfire). The revolvers shows a serial number of 130813 and was manufactured from circa 1861 to 1881. The revolvers shows deluxe Rosewood hardwood grips with a silver screw set, nickel factory finish in 50%-60%+ condition, and a 3 1/4 inch round barrel with full solid top rib. The barrel is marked on the top, "SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD, MASS. PAT. APR. 3. 55 JULY 5. 59. DEC. 18. 60." The revolver shows a single action function that works without flaw having a checkered hammer with spur trigger. The pistol shows a tip-up function which is actuated by pulling up on the two arms on either side of the pistol located at the front base of the seven shot fluted cylinder. Once the user has tipped the barrel up the cylinder can be removed and then the rounds can be ejected on the under barrel ejector rod and then reloaded. This is a truly early antique firearm that shows fine condition and displays well along with being a shooter. Serial number marked at the base of the grip, "130813" ANTIQUE FIREARM NO FFL .
