For bidding in this lot is a Smith & Wesson second issue, Model 1 1/2 revolver, chambered in .32 Rim Fire. The 2nd issue is identified by its fluted barrel and cylinder, as well as its rounded grip-butt. The revolver utilizes a nickel finish, rosewood grip panels, five-shot fluted cylinder, spur trigger, and a 3 1/2" barrel. The revolver is marked with correct roll-stamping, reading; "SMITH & WESSON. SPRINGFIELD, MASS. PAT.APR.3.55.JULY 5.59&NOV.21.65" on the top of the barrel, and marked with the serial number on the butt. The revolver was manufactured between 1868-1875, and shows good condition both aesthetically, and mechanically - with a nice naturally aged patina, and solid grips.
