Manufactured circa 1893 to 1905. First Model pistol with the standard barrel marking: "MODEL OF 91" flanked by the two-line Smith and Wesson address and patent dates. Fitted with a recoil shield, pinned blade front and adjustable rear sights, casehardened hammer and trigger guard and checkered walnut extension grips with S&W medallions.

Condition: Good. The pistol retains 70% original blue finish mixed with brown patina and scattered minor spotting. The trigger guard, trigger and hammer have a smooth mottled brownish gray patina. The grips are good with pressure marks on the bottoms, a few scattered minor dents and crisp checkering. The markings are clear. The action is fine.
