Manufactured between 1984 and 1988 and subsequently enhanced. Originally designed on a Smith & Wesson Model 39 in the 1960s by Paris Theodore who was an abstract artist, holster maker and (self-proclaimed) CIA independent contractor. This ASP pistol is based on a Model 639 Pistol and "enhances" it into an ideal defensive carry pistol. The barrel, slide and frame are all shortened, the hammer bobbed, edges dehorned, and the trigger guard is trimmed down on the left side and hooked at the front. The rear sight is replaced with a sighting plane and there is no front sight. Fitted with translucent Lexan grips with clear panels corresponding with cuts in the magazine for round counting. Included with the pistol are three extra magazines with one still in the original package, a double Seventrees Systems magnetic leather magazine pouch, and a K.L. Null brand left hand leather belt holster.
