Offered for sale in this lot is a fine Smith & Wesson 4th Model, Double-Action, Top-Break revolver, chambered for .32 S&W Short. The revolver shows a serial number 90193, and attributes it to an early 4th Model. The revolver utilizes a 3" round barrel with full top rib, 5-shot cylinder, hard rubber "S&W" monogram grips, top break operation, and a fine double action trigger. The revolver is marked in numerous places, reading; "SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD MASS. U.S.A. PAT'D JAN.24.65 - JULY 11.65. AUG. 24.69. REUISSUE JULY 25.71.MAY 11.80.JAN.3.82" on the top of the barrel rib, and showing matching serial numbers on the butt of the grips, on the back of the cylinder, and on the bottom of the top break latch. Overall, the revolver shows very good condition, with some wear to the cylinder and the backstrap. The nickel finished is in good condition on the frame and barrel while the cylinder has developed patina. Mechanically the revolver has a good double-action, with good cylinder timing. As well, the revolver has a tight cylinder lock-up. The hammer will not hold at full cock. Serial Number: 90193. This firearm qualifies as an Antique, and does not require FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check.
