This is an excellent and rare Smith & Wesson .38 Double Action Third Model Revolver dating to circa 1884-1885. The revolver shows a factory original nickel finish in near mint condition with some spotting on the barrel. The pistol also has a set of original mother of pearl grips with rich finish and color having only a small chip on the bottom right side. The revolver shows a double action mechanism that appears to work without flaw along with a top break self ejecting and loading mechanism. The revolver shows a blue finish trigger, trigger guard, hammer and pull tab. The firearm has a serial number of 163540 matching across the pistol and manufactured in circa 1884 to 1885. Truly a wonderful ANTIQUE FIREARM NO FFL.
