Smith & Wesson .357 magnum registered model double-action revolver, factory 8-3/4” barrel, marble gold-bead front sight, standard rear sight, single action pull: 3-1/2lbs, double action pull: 10lbs. Sighted in at 25 yards, with 6 o’clock hold. Serial #50090 with registration certificate to Gilbert Turner, Lexington KY, and original cardboard box. Factory letter confirms, shipped from distributor Edward K. Tryon of Philadelphia to J. Rosenberg to Lexington, KY (likely the dealer that sold it to Gilbert Turner), with its original Smith & Wesson cardboard shipping tube showing 1937 cancelled postage stamp. The revolver remains in fine to excellent original condition showing 95-98% factory original finish, some losses at the muzzle and a slight index line between cylinder stops. The hammer and trigger show 80-90% case hardening. The grips are fine to near excellent. The bore is excellent. The pistol is near excellent overall. Registered models are extremely desirable to collectors, especially with the certificate and original box, plus desirable barrel length. Note: Shows easily removable old grip adapter.
