Featured in this lot we have a Smith & Wesson safety hammerless New Departure revolver chambered in .32 cartridge and comes with its original box. The revolver features a five-shot top break cylinder, 3" barrel, grip safety, blue'd finish, and checkered grip. The Smith & Wesson Safety Hammerless or the Smith & Wesson New Departure (nicknamed the lemon squeezer) is a double action revolver that was manufactured from 1887 to 1940 by Smith & Wesson. The revolver features a internal hammer and a grip safety on the back of the grip. The revolver is marked in a few places, that reads; "SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD MASS. U.S.A. PAT'D FEBY. 20. 77. DEC. 18. 77. MAY 11. 83. OCT. 2. 83. TWO AUC.4. 85" on the top of the barrel, "S&W" trade mark on the right side of the frame, and lastly, its marked with its serial number "64277" on the underside of the break top and the bottom of the grip. The revolver is in 80% condition, it shows good blue'd finish with minor wear in the finish. The mechanically are tight and working order.
