Smith & Wesson .32 Safety Hammerless “Bicycle” Model DA revolver, .32 cal., 2” barrel, nickel finish, pearl grips, #87798, accompanied by a wood case with re-lined green interior and compartments for the gun,a box of cartridges, key and cleaning rod, likely English in manufacture (no cartridges, key or cleaning rod). Accompanying the gun is a letter on Cheshire Constabulary letterhead from a David Astbury indicatingthe gun came from the estate of Lady Mary Grosvenor, Aunt to the Duke of Westminster. The letter continues to state the Grosvenor family was one of the most wealthy and influential families in the United Kingdom.Mr. Astbury acquired the gun from a firearms dealer in Chester. The gun is in overall very good to fine condition showing the majority of its original finish with some spots of lifting and wear, very good bore, crispaction, sharp markings and fine iridescent pearl grips; also included is an International Police Association business card from Mr. Astbury.
